Would it be possible to add a few inches length in some dresses?
It would be so helpful if dresses had even 2 inches more length in hems (to let down) for women who need to cover their knees. I'm 67 having had knee replacement surgery and simply don't look good with the length above the knee. For example, I need the empire waist of the current "sleeveless floral shirtdress" and can add a cardigan to cover my arms, and it is 41" long; and thank you for the new "printed A-line shirtdress" which has longer sleeves and is 43" long but has a "defined waist", which is my weak point. Perhaps Fall and Winter dresses will be longer than the lovely linen dresses you've had for Spring and Summer--those have been above the knee and even Tall sizes sometimes had 1/2" less length. I can't pay over $100 for a dress that I have to wear leggings with to cover my knees in the Summer. I love the shirt-tail hem which goes up on the sides of some hems, and I could wear them if they were just 2 inches longer over all. IS IT POSSIBLE TO PURCHASE EXTRA FABRIC? I love the details, shapes and lines of the JJill dresses, but I've had to return some because they are just too short. (I always hope there will be someway to lengthen them.) It is something a diet won't help. There are 2X and 3X and even 4X for width, but only the petite get a length adjustment (and it's shorter). Please consider helping out those of us who have long legs or are unable to wear skirts above the knee. I have spent hours looking at clothing online and it is a common problem. Still, I keep coming back to JJill. I always read the reviews which are extremely helpful in deciding what to try, and I know you'll pass along information like this to those responsible. In my opinion, it would make JJill perfect to somehow give one the option of adding 2 inches to the hems of Womens 2X and 3X skirts and dresses. I can't be the only customer who feels this way?
