Great maternity dress
PostedJuly 7, 2016
I ordered a size L, as I usually do in knit dresses from JJill. The bust fit, which was the reason for the size L anyway, however I felt like I should be about 7 months pregnant for the waist to fit correctly. Sometimes I put darts or princess seams in a garment for added shape, but this dress does not lend itself to that. Also, I feel this length without side slits will be too warm in the summer anyway.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice Fabric and Cut
PostedJuly 7, 2016
I have not worn this yet, but may wear it on a cool NW day. I will wear tights and boots in Fall/Winter. I am curvy and was pleasantly surprised that this dress looks good, since the cut is very straight. The fabric does tend to mold a bit to ones shape on top and it stays close at the waist - no maternity look! I wear a size M in many JJill dresses, but I got the L in this to keep the knit a bit looser.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice looking and different
PostedJanuary 19, 2016
This is a cute tunic for Spring. The colors are nice and the plaid bias touches, especially at the bottom, makes it special. I like the extra weight at the bottom as well. I washed and dried most of the way in the dryer and will just touch it up with the iron. I got a large as I usually do with JJill button-downs and like the way it fits; not sure if I will add some waist darts yet.

Nice basic
PostedJanuary 19, 2016
This shirt has the issue I have been finding lately in several JJill shirts; the shirt pulls just above the chest in the front because of the way the armholes are cut. The shirt fits fine otherwise and does not even gap at the full bust. (I usually get a large because I have a full bust.) This is a fluid rayon type fabric and I will wear it as a tunic. I washed and dried it most of the way in the drier and it will just need a few touches with an iron. I will probably add princess darts to give it some shape as it hangs straight. Also, it will put a hook and eye between the top buttons, since wearing a cami under is rarely something I do.
Yes, I recommend this product.

best knit tunic yet
PostedJanuary 19, 2016
The fabric and cut of this tunic are the best I have found for a knit tunic. This can be dressed up with a scarf or necklace and even the pockets lay flat and hang right. I got my usual large because I am chesty, but I do not feel like I need to add princess darts like I often do, since it does not have that maternity top feel.

Classy necklace
PostedJanuary 19, 2016
I usually like a necklace that lays at my neck with a V-neck top. This looks good with a round neck and is not so long that it bounces around. It lays nicely above ones breast area and seems well made.

Nice Alternative Pant
PostedJanuary 19, 2016
I like the fabric in these. It is a bit lighter than the ponte and the fit is a bit looser on me in the same size. They are not sheer by any means and look great with a black tunic and boots. I had them tucked in the boots, but flats could work easily. I would say these are 3-season pants here in the NW.

Nice Looking Tunic
PostedDecember 31, 2015
I found this on sale in red a while back and have worn it a few times. I finally saw the blue available in the large some time later and ordered it as well. Unfortunately 3 of the 5 items I ordered were not sent (I ordered 5 tops and got two of them and 3 pair of assorted XL pants!) When I took the items to the local store they got everything straightened out, but this blue top was no longer available in my size. That said, I will enjoy the red one. It fits true to size and washes and wears well. Cute details make it special. The knit is a lightweight cotton T-shirt fabric, so not too warm.

An Average Sweater
PostedDecember 31, 2015
I decided to try this on sale, since I would not pay full price for it. It is your average light weight cotton sweater which I will wear with jeans. I am not real crazy about the longer length in the back on many styles, since the back usually stretches out when you sit down anyway. Once washed it is a bit shorter than I really wanted but is ok for a casual sweater. I could have gotten a medium in this since it seams wide overall, even though I like the looseness around the hips. It is a straight cut so I may end up putting princess darts in the back to take in some fullness around the middle.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Should be great in the correct size!
PostedDecember 2, 2015
I usually wear a Regular Large in JJill tops (although a medium usually works for dresses) and ordered size L in this top. I can swim in this thing! The bust measures 47" and the hip measures 52" and it is 34.5" long. I like tunics about 31" for my 5'6" frame, but this is probably 36" if measured from the correct place on my neck! Maybe this one was sized wrong or just miss-cut, as this was measured after washing and partially drying in the dryer! I am guessing the tag should read Tall XL. The fabric needs no ironing if you do that and if this shrunk I cannot tell. I like the textured tencel fabric and plan to get the regular M on sale now and hope for the best.

Our pull-on, flat-front pants with an elasticized back waist. Garment washed for softness. Angled front pockets. Back waist darts.

Why is there no view shown of the waist?

It would be helpful if at least one view of bottoms would show the top (usually the waist area) of the article on or off of a model. Thanks!

Our take on the classic anorak in a water-repellant hooded style. Two-way zipper. Chest patch pocket. Top and side entry pockets with snap closure. Adjustable drawstring waist. Back princess seams.

Will this come out in other colors?

How about black or navy, or even taupe? An off-green color does not flatter most of us women!

Does this dress have an a-line shape?

Topic:Fit
The cut is pretty straight. I usually prefer an A-line cut, but this knit hangs nicely on my curvy figure.

Any plans to offer this in cotton or cotton based blend?

I love this style -- as do many people, it seems -- but I really can't wear wearever fabrics -- they don't breathe enough for my post menopausal body. I'd buy it in a flash if it came in cotton or mostly cotton, and was available in about a 40" or 41" length. I'm over 65 and don't like showing my knees anymore-- but I still like shapely attractively dresses! I bet there are lots of us "older" women who'd love this. Other colors, other fabrics, other lengths. The V neck is soooo flattering.
Topic:Fabric
This dress fabric is 95% rayon and 5% lycra. Rayon is a natural fiber (wood-based) and is breathable like cotton, but typically lighter weight. I prefer rayon over cotton for light weight summer wear, since it dries faster than cotton as well.

Our sleeveless linen maxi dress has a front and back V-neckline. Multiseam styling places the yarn-dyed stripes in varying directions. Side vents.

The "poof" in the back

Has anything been done to remedy the bulge above the waist in the back that appears to be a problem for other than slim straight figures?
Topic:Fit
I notice you describe yourself as full-figured. I have found other dresses cut on the bias have this problem for me, where the excess fabric in back poofs out some at the waist. I stay away from most bias cut dresses for that reason.

Is this a sweater?

Topic:Fabric
The fabric in this is a bit like a slubbed cotton, but heavier than the thin t-shirts you see in the summer. It looks like a sweater as the texture seems to be more on the backside of the fabric. It does not stretch out the way most sweaters do in a long length like this.

Our yarn-dyed ponte knit pull-on pants were designed with a bit of stretch for a comfortable fit that looks as good as it feels. The elasticized waist is flat all around and has front and back darts. The back of each leg is finished with a vent at the hemline.

Do these pants end at the ankle ? I am 5'10" and cannot wear ankle length pants.

Topic:Fit
I am 5' 6" and they end slightly below the way they look on this model. They look great tucked in tall boots, so they could work that way for tall people.

If I wear a size 12 pant, what size size shoud I order in these pants?

Topic:Size
I wear a 10 in the denim authentic cut jeans from JJill and a 12 in the colored or white version of the same pants. I got a M in these and they are just right; not tight like a legging and not too baggy.

PXL?

My measurements are roughly 39x38x48 - I am petite (5'2") and rather hip-y. Do you think the PXL would work for me? I definitely like an over-the-hip length and a rather A-frame fit.
Topic:Size, Fit
I am a 38D - I measure 42-43" in the bust and take a large in this which hangs just right on me. I think the XL will be huge on top for you!

Should I order a larger size in a knit?

I have only ordered cloth items from J.Jill -- never a knit. I don't like knits to be tight. Should I order one size up?
Topic:Size
I would not do that in this top. I wear a large in most JJill woven blouses and tunics because I am a 38D and the large in this fits just fine. I even wash and dry in the machine! (I often put in princess darts to take in the fullness around the middle but I left this one as is and it fits great.)

what is the bust measurement of the 2xl. The answer for the 1xl you gave doesn't seem to match the size chart. Some said it ran small.

Topic:Size, Fit
The size chart gives body measurements, not garment measurements. Garments vary according to how much style ease is designed into them.
